A hunting lodge turned winery in 1834, the Mothes family bought the estate to develop a wine business. Since 2004, the Narboni family took over has been acquisitioning lands and expanded the property to secure the honoured title of being part of Haut-Médoc by producing its finest wines.

Unexpectedly, their 2003 vintage of the their La Demoiselle d’Haut-Peyrat wine was the only wine selected to be in the 2007 Hachette magazine guide and then more accolades followed. France Pierre Narboni intended for the 2003 vintage to offer a more fruity wine to fans.
